Re-assessment & Extension of Scope (EOS)
21-22 April 2021
We have successfully completed our Re-assessment and Extension of Scope (EOS). Really appreciate the effort made by the assessment team from Department of Standards Malaysia (Madam Ng Pui Wan and Dr. Raymond Choo) to conduct the assessment on-site despite the current pandemic situation.

FOUR (4) new test methods will be incorporated into our ISO 17025 scope once approved.
Proficiency Testing 2021 (Aquaculture)
14 April 2021
We are pleased to announce that our laboratory has successfully completed the February 2021 Ring Test for PCR laboratories organized by the University of Arizona (UAZ), Aquaculture Pathology Laboratory. We correctly detected all the crustacean pathogens including WSSV, IHHNV, TSV, YHV, IMNV, AHPND/EMS, EHP, NHP-B. We continuously seek to demonstrate competency and test reliability.

Our team at LIR Biotech is rolling out SARS-CoV-2 screening tests for food/surface/environmental samples. The Real-Time PCR (RT-PCR) SARS-COV 2 test will target: SARS-Cov like coronaviruses and SARS-COV-2 (N & E gene).
